Project Example
This Residence is a 350 m² contemporary home designed to balance luxury and sustainability. Nestled in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado, the residence features open-plan living spaces, seamless indoor-outdoor transitions, and state-of-the-art green building technologies.
The residence features an open-plan layout that fosters a sense of spaciousness while ensuring functionality. The heart of the home is a double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, flooding the space with natural light and offering breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. The seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces is achieved through large sliding glass doors, which open onto a covered patio and infinity pool.
The interiors were designed with comfort and sustainability in mind, incorporating reclaimed oak wood for flooring and accents, natural stone finishes, and low-VOC materials. Smart home technology, including app-controlled lighting, climate, and security systems, enhances convenience while reducing energy consumption.
In line with the client’s desire for a sustainable home, the project integrates green building technologies such as a solar energy system capable of supplying 85% of the home’s power needs, a rainwater harvesting system for irrigation, and high-performance insulation that minimizes heat loss during winter. Native landscaping further contributes to the home’s eco-friendly design, requiring minimal water and maintenance.
This residence not only fulfills its functional purpose but also serves as an architectural statement, reflecting a commitment to both environmental responsibility and timeless design. It has become a benchmark for sustainable luxury homes in the region, earning accolades and admiration from the architectural community.
